UPDATE: New BIOSHOCK Game Titled "BIOSHOCK ISOLATION" Reportedly In The Works At Irrational Games

It seems about time for BioShock to make a comeback and that's exactly what Irrational Games is cooking up according to this new leak. Hit the jump to find out more...

The BioShock video game series has laid dormant since 2013 when BioShock Infinite released, the last mainline instalment. All three instalments were included in BioShock: The Collection which launched in 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and came to Nintendo Switch in 2020. That's all that's happened in the BioShock sphere since Infinite but that may be about to change.

Over on Twitter, a user by the handle of @oopsLeaks has shared some supposed information about the next instalment in the series. It's said that the game is titled "BioShock Isolation" and, under 2K Games, is being developed by Irrational Games (the studio responsible for Watch Dogs: Legion, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Mafia 3, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided) using Unreal Engine 5. OopsLeaks even got their hands on a supposed logo for the game (though it may not be the final version).

This instalment will take place neither in Rapture of the first two BioShock games, nor Columbia of BioShock Infinite, but a new location; apparently an isolated and dystopian city. According to OopsLeaks, the title will be announced in Q1 2022 which isn't far off what another reputable leaker appears to have hinted at. @RalphsValve recently tweeted simply "December" along with the iconic cover art of the first BioShock game.

With so much going on in the BioShock sphere after, frankly, nothingness for almost a decade, there's certainly something going on. It's just a matter of how accurate these leaks are.

UPDATE: RalphsValve has clarified that the above BioShock tweet of theirs is actually in regards to the apparent forthcoming reveal of the next game from, BioShock Infinite lead developer, Ken Levine's new studio Ghost Story Games. Apparently, they have something in store for The Game Awards.

Additionally, RalphsValve has seconded OopsLeaks proposed BioShock Isolation leak, insisting that it will be announced, revealed, or possibly released next year. You can check out both of RalphValve's new tweets below.
