New ALIEN: BLACKOUT Trailer Has Been Released As ALIEN: ISOLATION Narrative Sequel Is Out Now
Although Alien: Blackout is not what Alien: Isolation fans had hoped for, 21st Century Fox believes in the mobile title, as the new trailer focuses on one hungry stowaway and a Weyland-Yutani space station...
While may fans had been hoping that Alien: Blackout would be a proper sequel to The Creative Assembly's critically acclaimed Alien Isolation, it might not be what they had been waiting for. Blackout is in fact a mobile game (that is available for download on the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore right now) developed at FoxNext Games, D3 Go!, and Rival Games that puts players in the boots of Amanda Ripley, Ellen's daughter, aboard an alien-infested Weyland-Yutani space station.
In Blackout, you have only one objective – staying alive while trapped aboard a crippled Weyland-Yutani space station carrying a deadly Xenomorph as it tirelessly hunts you and the crew. To survive, you will have to outsmart the perfect hunter by making perilous choices, relying on the damaged controls of the space station or risking sacrificing crew members to avoid contact with the beast.
As a reminder, FoxNext Games is still working on that long-rumored multiplayer-focused Alien game (that might very well be a next-gen title that will launch in 2020, at best) and Blackout is just a side project, so treat it like one and don't expect complicated narration or deep gameplay – it is still a mobile title. Be sure to take a closer look at the latest Alien game in its launch trailer down below:
Survive seven fear-inducing levels by remotely guiding Amanda Ripley’s crew through increasingly challenging tasks using only the station’s emergency systems. The uncertainty and unpredictability of both the alien and her crew can impose total defeat for Amanda and the entire station. Alien: Blackout is a unique fear-inducing horror mobile game experience that will test the inner nerves of both Alien and horror fans alike, where life can end in an instant.
Alien: Blackout can be dowloaded on the App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore NOW!
