Last month, Ryan Reynolds released the first official clip from upcoming comedy video game movie Free Guy in tandem with the movie's release date change — check that out here. Free Guy is now set to arrive in theatres on December rather than July. It's a movie in which Reynolds plays a video game NPC who gains sentience and realises he can fight back against the players.
Shawn Levy (Stranger Things) directs a screenplay penned by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn. Free Guy stars Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Lil Rey Howery (Get Out), Utkarsh Ambudkar (Blindspotting), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).
It's quite akin the the Grand Theft Auto video game series — the latest instalment of which will soon be available for free from the Epic Games Store. Some new stills from the upcoming video game movie were released near the end of last month and, wouldn't you know it, now there's even more.
The first of the new stills features both Reynolds and Howery. Based on the movie's official trailer, this still likely takes place at the beginning of Free Guy — prior to Reynolds finding out that he's an NPC. The two characters are shown to be quite used to being held at gunpoint by players. The second still features both Comer and Keery. The latter is showing the former something on his laptop but exactly what is unclear.
You can check out the stills for yourself below (via ComicBookMovie.com):
