Earlier this month, upcoming action comedy movie Free Guy was delayed from July to December 11th, 2020. What's more, star Ryan Reynolds also relased the first official clip from the movie — which you can check out here. Just days ago, the next official covers for Total Film Magazine were revealed and they feature Reynolds and Jodie Comer in character — those here.
If you haven't heard, Free Guy is an upcoming comedy that takes place within a video game. Reynolds plays an NPC who lives in an open-world similar to that of Grand Theft Auto. However, he becomes sentient and realises that he can fight back against the players.
As well as Reynolds (Deadpool) and Comer (Killing Eve), the cast also includes Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Lil Rey Howery (Get Out), Utkarsh Ambudkar (Blindspotting), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok). Shawn Levy (Stranger Things) serves as director while Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn are responsible for the screenplay.
Now; some new, official stills from Free Guy have been released (via Epicstream) and feature some of the aforementioned cast. There's one solely featuring Reynolds, in fear of something. There's also one featuring Comer, armed to the teeth and with motorcycles beside her. Finally, there's one featuring Waititi, Keery, and Ambudkar in some sort of techy, modern office.
'Free Guy,' a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, decides to become the hero of his own story…one he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way…before it is too late.
Free Guy is set to arrive in theatres on December 11th, 2020.
