Free Guy is an upcoming action comedy movie that takes place within a video game and from the perspective of an open-world NPC. Earlier this month, the upcoming action comedy's release date was moved from July to December 11th, 2020. What's more, star Ryan Reynolds shared the first official clip from Free Guy — check that out here.
The cast also includes Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Lil Rey Howery (Get Out), Utkarsh Ambudkar (Blindspotting), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok). Shawn Levy (Stranger Things) directs a screenplay by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn.
Reynolds plays the aforementioned open-world NPC, however, he finds himself imbued with sentience and able to fight back against the game's players. Comer plays a character whose name is Molotov Girl — it's unclear whether she's representative of a player, an NPC, or what but she's presumably the former.
Regardless, they're both on the cover of the next issue of Total Film Magazine. So, we've got an explosive, new look at them. What's more, we should expect to find out a lot more about Free Guy when the issue actually debuts in May. You can check out the covers below (via ComicBookMovie.com):

Free Guy is set to arrive in theatres on December 11th, 2020.
