Pokémon is one of those series that has successfully managed to stay relevant for over 20 years; having begun with the release of the
Pokémon Red and
Pokémon Green video games that released for the Game Boy in 1996; ever since, the series has spanned toys, tv shows, animated movies, and even a live-action film in the form of
Detective Pikachu.
When it comes to animated movies, more in particular, Pokémon has seen quite the handful of films being released over the years, and in more recent years The Pokémon Company has been producing a new series simply called
Pokémon the Movie.
Today, during the morning program Oha Suta,
Pokémon the Movie: Coco — the third, and latest entry in the new series of films — got a brand-new teaser trailer, as well as a new poster, which also revealed that the movie will be soaring into Japanese theatres on the
10th of July.
Not much is known about the plot for
Pokémon the Movie: Coco, and the teaser trailer doesn't really help much — still, it is nice to see that fans will keep getting top quality animated movies set in the world of Pokémon. Now all we need is for The Pokémon Company to reveal the movie's release date here in the West.
