One of the highest selling games on the Playstation 4 during its life cycle has been Monster Hunter World. The title is the most recent installment in the long-running CAPCOM series in which players can create their own hunter and specialize in multiple weapons, all to hunt down and defeat gargantuan monsters.
Since the game series has been such a hit, it was only a matter of time before Hollywood saw its potential. Now a brand new film based on the games and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil) is on the way!
Since the film completed filming in 2018, there has been a back and forth over when the movie will release due to cinema's current state during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, a new release month has been decided for this winter, and to build hype, a brand new teaser has released that features the iconic monster, Black Diablos!
While the film's direction can be considered divisive, there is no doubt that the sand-dwelling monster looks amazing. Make sure to check to get footage below, and don't forget to share your thoughts in the comments!
Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her loyal soldiers are transported from our world to the new world, the unflappable lieutenant receives the shock of her life. In her desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers and unstoppable, revolting attacks, Artemis will team up with a mysterious man who has found a way to fight back.
Monster Hunter releases in theaters this December!
