POKÉMON: MEWTWO STRIKES BACK EVOLUTION Comes To Netflix On Pokémon Day (February 27th)

Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution initially released in Japan back in July 2019. Thankfully, the animated movie will soon be available to stream on Netflix in the west.

Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution is a remake of Pokémon: The First Movie — which originally released back in 1998. While the latter was animated in a traditional two-dimensional way; Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution makes use of modern 3D CGI and released back in July 2019 — primarily in Japan.

On February 27th, which just so happens to be Pokémon Day; Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution will become available to stream on Netflix.

This will be the first Pokémon movie to premiere in the west through a streaming service rather than on television or in theatres. For Pokémon fans outside of Japan, this will essentially be their first chance to watch the animated movie — that premiered months ago in Japan and has been available on Blu-ray and DVD ever since.

An exciting, new trailer for Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution has been released online and it shows off what to expect from the upcoming addition to the streaming service. Check it out below (via The Official Pokémon YouTube Channel):
