Sonic the Hedgehog arrived in theatres on February 14th (one month ago). The live-action movie is based on the popular video game series and character of the same name. Ben Schwartz stars as the voice of the titular character alongside Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. The cast also includes James Marsden and Tika Sumpter while Jeff Fowler served as director.
Since it arrived in theatres last month, the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie has earned almost $146 million at the domestic box office. Specifically,
Sonic the Hedgehog has earned $145,806,328 domestic and $160,700,000 internationally — which makes the grand total $306,506,328.
It's the domestic amount that's particularly noteworthy as it's more than the $144.1 million that
Pokémon: Detective Pikachu earned domestically. That means;

Sonic the Hedgehog is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog.
