Sonic the Hedgehog has long been one of gaming's most iconic characters and he will finally be making the jump to the big screen on February 14th. Jeff Fowler directs the video game movie while Ben Schwartz, Jim Carrey, James Marsden, and Tika Sumpter star. The former two of those actors will be playing the titular speedster and the dastardly Dr. Robotnik respectively.
Quite a few posters for the
Sonic the Hedgehog movie have been released throughout the last couple of months —
check out one here. However, now we've got posters for each of the aforementioned cast members. Schwartz, Carrey, and Sumpter all uploaded a cool, new motion poster to Twitter earlier today.
Marsden doesn't have an official Twitter account so instead shared it via his Instagram story. Each of the posters are colour-coded and feature their respective character's name. That is, apart from Tom Wachowski's poster which instead reads
"Donut Lord." We can only assume this will be a joke that plays out in the film itself — what with police officers infamously being fond of donuts 'n all.
You can check them all out below — courtesy of the actors themselves as well as one helpful Twitter user (

Sonic the Hedgehog is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
Sonic the Hedgehog races into theatres on February 14th, 2020.
