Sonic the Hedgehog has been in theatres for almost a month's time. The live-action movie is based on the popular video game series of the same name and stars Ben Schwartz as the voice of the titular character alongside Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik and James Marsden as Tom Wachowski. Jeff Fowler served as director.
The
Sonic the Hedgehog movie more or less served as an origin story for the iconic, blue speedster to the point that we got to see him running aroung Green Hill Zone as a young child. This scene served as the very first of the movie and featured narration by Schwartz as Sonic.
Shortly thereafter, we're introduced to Sonic as a teenager. He's been living alone on Earth for a little while and ironically comes across one of the world's slowest creatures — a turtle. Being the fastest thing alive, Sonic decides to let the turtle experience some true speed — so brings him along for a run.

The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
