Sonic the Hedgehog is an upcoming, live-action movie based on the popular video game series and character of the same name. Ben Schwartz stars as the titular speedster while Jim Carrey plays Dr. Robotnik. The cast also includes James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Jeff Fowler directs.
The video game movie will arrive in theatres in less than a month's time; Paramount Pictures have begun to release TV spots in promotion of the release. For instance, we got a new one yesterday that seemed to be hinting that the
Sonic the Hedgehog movie will feature Super Sonic —
check that out here.
An even newer one can be seen below and is all about Green Hill Zone and Sonic's younger years. Fans of the
Sonic the Hedgehog video games will undoubtedly be familiar with Green Hill Zone as it's almost certainly the franchise's most iconic location — being the setting for the first levels of most
Sonic the Hedgehog games.
We first found out about Baby Sonic at the very start of this month when
a new Japanese trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie released. Thankfully, this new TV spot serves as an English version of that and thus we can finally understand what the titular speedster is going on about — that being growing up with super speed on a peaceful island.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
Sonic the Hedgehog races into theatres on February 14th, 2020.
