Sonic the Hedgehog will be speeding into theatres on February 14th, 2020 — the perfect Valentine's Day flick. Ben Schwartz stars as the voice of the titular speedster alongside Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, James Masden, and Tika Sumpter.
The Game Awards will be taking place on Thursday, December 12th at 8:30PM ET. Recently, the host of the upcoming event teased that there will be something on show to do with the
Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
During a Q&A about The Game Awards in Los Angeles, Geoff Keighley reportedly teased a surprise appearane of some kind and that they will be doing something fun to do with the movie. Check out the attendee's tweet below (via

As for what that could be, we're none the wiser. Sonic certainly isn't nominated for any awards. In fact, the blue speedster has never made and appearance at or had anything to do with The Game Awards. Interestingly, Keighley's comment was to do with Sonic the Hedgehog's 30th Anniversary.
