WB Games Montreal, developer of 2013's
Batman: Arkham Origins, has shared another new image that many believe is for the next installment in the beloved action-adventure franchise starring the Caped Crusader.
This week, the developer posted three separate images to its official accounts on
Twitter,
Facebook, and
Instagram. When combined, the images formed the following symbol, which looks a bit like a Gotham City Police Department badge.
The only message accompanying the photo was "/redacted." However, prior to the final image being posted, the three individual images each came with the tagline "Capture the Knight," which has been used by WB Games Montreal in teasers from last year.
At this point, nothing official has been announced, but there have been numerous leaks and rumors claiming that WB Games Montreal is developing a
Batman: Arkham game that will involve the Court of Owls, a secret society of trained assassins attempting to seize control of Gotham City.
WB Montreal has made only one game in the
Batman: Arkham series, and that would be 2013's
Arkham Origins, a prequel set five years before the events of
Arkham Asylum. The most recent game in the series was 2015's
Arkham Knight, which was developed by Rocksteady Studios.
