Built with Unreal Engine 5, The First Descendant is a next-generation third-person co-op action RPG looter shooter. Players take on the role of a Descendant whose mission is to combat alien invaders known as The Vulgus who crossed dimensions over 100 years ago and brought with them the devastating Colossi and destruction. Humanity's survival is up to players who will grow stronger and upgrade their abilities and gear through a variety of missions and raids. The game puts an emphasis on co-op gameplay with strategic four-player boss fights, raids, and more.
There are a total of 14 characters available to play as at launch, each with their own unique playstyle and role. Ajax, for example, is a Tank that utilizes Void Energy and utilizes a Forcefield to protect his allies while deflecting enemy attacks. Bunny is a Nuker who can deal continuous damage by discharging electricity while sprinting.
The First Descendant officially releases on July 2nd for PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The game is completely free-to-win and supported with microtransactions for things like outfits and skins for your character and weapons, experience boosters, resource packs, and battle passes.
