An ESRB rating for Telltale Games' Batman: The Enemy Within for the Nintendo Switch recently appeared, obviously indicating that the game may be coming to the Switch.
The game has been classified as M for mature, which is in-line with other versions. Many fans are speculating that this ESRB classification could be inadvertantly teasing a reveal from Telltale which will take place at some point during San Diego Comic-Con - which begins on the 19th of July.
Here's how the ESRB site justifies classifying The Enemy Within as mature:
This is an action game, based on the Batman universe, in which players assume the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman as he battles villains in Gotham City. Players engage in various action sequences that require timed button presses to successfully punch, kick, and incapacitate enemy thugs/villains; blood is frequently shown as characters are injured.
Cutscenes also depict acts of violence: characters killed by machinery while inside a chamber; fingers cut off by saw blades; a man's throat slit with a bladed hook; a character's stomach cut open to remove a device. The word “sh*t” appears in the dialogue.
With Telltale's other well-known episodic game series, The Walking Dead and Guardians of the Galaxy, also rumoured to be releasing on the Switch, all of the pieces seem to be fitting together. Perhaps all three will be announced next week during SDCC - so stay posted.
