16 new characters from Dragon Ball Z's Android and Cell saga have been revealed as playable characters in the upcoming Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Check them out in the trailer below!

Bandai Namco released a new trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, revealing new playable characters to the already robust roster of fighters. The new characters hail from the iconic Android Saga and Cell Saga of the Dragon Ball Z franchise.

"The Android Saga and Cell Sagas follow the Z Fighters as they face off against powerful androids created by Dr. Gero and against the ultimate life form, Cell," the developer teased.

In the new trailer below, you'll notice the new roster additions include iconic villains like Mecha Frieza, King Cold, Android 17 and 16. Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero will also include Cell along with all of his Dragon Ball Z forms: First Form, Second Form, and Perfect Form.

Arriving this October, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero marks the highly anticipated return of the Budokai Tenkaichi series. In the game, players will partake in intense, high-speed 3D battles that are true to the anime and video game series, complete with breathtaking visuals and authentic combat.

"Unleash the fighting spirit within you and take the fight to arenas that crumble and react to your power as the battle rages on," the description reads. "Shake the earth. Break the heavens. Make yours the destructive power of the strongest fighters ever to appear in DRAGON BALL!"

In addition to experiencing favorite story moments and iconic battles from the original series through cutscenes, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero also gives players to live out their fantasy battles. Custom Battle is a new mode that lets players create their own dream story battle with any character they want, and then take their creations and share them with other fans online.  This mode also features "Bonus Battles" which are matchups that have been imagined by the developers. ome battles will have different victory conditions, while others may even have cutscenes that pop up mid-way.

Dragon Ball: Spaking! Zero is set to release on October 11, 2024. Pre-orders are now available across all platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Developed by Spike Chunsoft, the game looks to bring the series to a new era with "new features, enhanced and proven fighting mechanics, lightning-paced combat, large destructible environments, and stunning visuals."
