Last month NetherRealm Studios announced Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate, while also revealing that the long-requested Mileena, Rain, and even Rambo were joining the Mortal Kombat 11 roster as part of the game's Kombat Pack 2; news that were very well received by fans.

Both the game's Kombat Pack 2 and the all-new Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate, which is the complete edition of the game plus all of the previously DLC and the new Kombat Pack, were revealed to be officially released on Tuesday the 17th of November.

NetherRealm Studios also revealed that Mortal Kombat 11 and the recently announced Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate would finally be getting cross-play, which was also scheduled to become available when on the 17th of November; giving players to have their friends join them, no matter the platform they're playing on.

Now that we are only a week away from the release of the new Kombat Pack and the definitive edition of Mortal Kombat 11, NehterRealm Studios has shared new details about cross-play, and some fans are very disappointed with the news, as the developer confirms that cross-play will only be available for PlayStation and Xbox systems.

That's right, NetherRealm Studios will only made cross-play available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox SeriesX|S players; completely disregarding Nintendo Switch, PC, and Stadia players — who have taken to social media to express their disappointment.

A quick look at the comment section on NetherRealm Studios' tweet below will give you a pretty good idea of how frustrated some fans are, and they aren't pulling any punches — which is why we aren't really sharing them in this article, but feel free to check it out for yourself.

NetherRealm Studios has not really given players any reasons why they've opted to leave Nintendo, PC, and Stadia players out of cross-play, at least not for the time being, so we will have to wait until they officially address this.
