Activision Blizzard developer Treyarch appears to be teasing an impending reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Zombies mode. We've known since June's official announcement of Black Ops 6, that the beloved Zombies multiplayer experience would be returning, but we haven't heard much.
The original announcement teased the return of Round-Based Zombies, a fan-favorite mode where players take down hordes of the undead. We also know that Zombies will launch with two new maps and a number of secrets for players to discover.
"For newcomers, Zombies is Treyarch’s unique take on a cooperative player experience where you face off against vast mobs of zombified creatures, with the bulk being the recently deceased, now animated due to strange, eldritch forces," the developer teased. "Expect every location you visit to be packed with powerful weapons, new and returning power-ups, a pantheon of revolting entities to face, and a host of secrets and easter eggs to discover."
Continuing the Dark Aether narrative that was first started in Black Ops Cold War, the Black Ops 6 Zombies mode will offer countless hours of fast-paced action. This week, we got our first teaser.
The official Call of Duty account on X/Twitter shared a brief video. The scrolling channels quickly devolve into static and we get a glimpse of zombies carnage. Fans are then directed to go to the website, TheTruthDies.com.
Like the original teaser website for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (TheTruthLies.com), we are greeted with an interactive television. There are a total of six channels to scroll through, but only two of them are currently active right now.
Channel 1 serves as the "Channel Guide," but as it scrolls through the programming it's interrupted by a creepy, grotesque bunny plushy that lets out a menacing laugh. We then see a mysterious man staring behind a desk staring at some monitors of locked-up prisoners. Right now they are just wandering their cells, but it's clear that something is not quite right with them.
Channel 2 is the Weather Channel which shows an approaching hurricane. But it's also quickly interrupted and cut out by a shot of some sort of island.
Right now it's speculated that this island prison will serve as one of the two Zombies maps that will be available when Black Ops 6 launches. With Treyarch starting with the new teasers, it hopefully won't be long before we start getting some official details.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is scheduled to be released on October 25th for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
