The third season for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone is set to arrive this week on April 3. Ahead of its release, Activision has debuted a brand new multiplayer trailer showcasing all of the new content coming in the season.
From new maps to a new Zombies mission and rift, to the return of Rebirth Island, there's plenty for Call of Duty fans to sink their teeth into across the game's various game modes.
For Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer, four new Core 6v6 maps are coming: 6 Star, Emergency, Growhouse, and Launch. Growhouse is a re-imagined map based on Sphere from Call of Duty: Vanguard.
6 Star (Launch): Battle atop the Hadiqa 6 Star resort in Dubai, catering to ultra-rich guests with an infinity pool, skybridge, and exclusive club.
Emergency (Launch): Deploy to a wing of the State Disease Control Agency in the wake of a disaster, set around the red sandstone of Sedona, Arizona.
Growhouse (Launch): A re-imagined take on Sphere from Call of Duty®: Vanguard. Fight mid- to long-ranged battles above ground and close up underground.
Tanked (Launch): Drop into Vondel Zoo after hours in this fast-paced, mid-sized map centered around the aquarium and reptile exhibits.
Also coming to multiplayer are some new game modes, including Capture the Flag, a fan-favorite mode in which you steal the enemy's flag and return it to your home base while yours remains in place. One in the Chamber is another fan-favorite mode in which you start with three lives and a one-hit kill bullet. You ear another bullet for each elimination, but if you run out, you must go for the melee kill. Minefield is an explosive new mode in which defeated players drop a Proximity Mine where they fall. Thankfully, the mine is only deadly to their team.
The new Zombies content is coming mid-season and will see the introduction of a new Rift and Missions, as well as new Challenges and Schematics. There's also a new Warlord approaching.
For Call of Duty: Warzone, the highlight of the battle royale game is the return of Rebirth Island. This will be the main destination of your Resurgence matches and Season 3 Ranked play. Players can also look forward to Public Events like Gulag: Climbe and Punishment and Heavy Armor, as well as the new Spy Drones Contract and the Rebirth Island Champion's Quest.
