The older you get, the harder it becomes to find time to play your favorite video games. Enter the Replacer.
The fan-favorite character is back and here's here to help you find time to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 when it launches next month. A new 60-second ad spot was aired today featuring the return of actor Peter Stormare (Fargo, John Wick Chapter 2). And it's like he was never gone!
The Replacer and his iconic muscle car are back, and he's filling in for those everyday chores so that you can do what you really want to do — play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
While many games turn to fake notes as an excuse to get out of something, the Replacer is more of a fill-in. From spending time with the family to performing your second job as a rideshare, he's taking over your daily responsibilities so you can spend more time playing.
The Replacer has been one of Activision's funnier live-action marketing promos for the Call of Duty franchise. Prior to Black Ops 6, he was used for Black Ops 2, Black Ops 3, and Black Ops 4.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on October 25 but with the help of the Replacer, you won't need an excuse to skip out on your responsibilities.
This year's game follows Black Ops veteran Frank Woods and his team as they've been exiled from the CIA, which has been infiltrated by a shadowy clandestine force. With anyone who resists branded as traitors, Woods and his team find themselves hunted by the military machine that created them. Activision teases:
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
Of course, the main attraction with any Call of Duty game is the multiplayer and it's no different with Black Ops 6. This year's game will see 16 new maps available at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6. Additionally, players will see the return of a more traditional Prestige system, bigger and more rewarding than ever.
The fan-favorite Zombies mode is also back and marks the return of Round-Based Zombies. Players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. As always, fans can look forward to continued support for Multiplayer and Zombies post-launch in the form of new maps, game modes, weapons, and more.
