Bethesda Softworks has made a very surprising announcement, as the first three DOOM games — from id Software's acclaimed first person shooter series —  have been re-released today for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, iOS, and Android devices.

The most interesting aspect of this is that most of these games haven't been released on home consoles for quite a while, with titles like DOOM and DOOM II being ported to the Game Boy Advance at some point; this, however, made the games look incredibly compressed.

Console versions of the first two DOOM titles will feature split screen 4-player deatchmatch, and split screen co-op . Also, all three games include every single one of the expansions that each got over the years.

It is worth mentioning that this is not a bundle, and both DOOM and DOOM II will cost $4.99, while players can purhcase DOOM 3 for $9.99 on the platform's respective store.
