After having been delayed back in October — originally expected to release on the 22nd of November —
DOOM Eternal is a little bit under a month from finally becoming available; releasing for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on the
22nd of March.
At this point there is little to nothing that either Bethesda or id Software could do to convince players to purchase
DOOM Eternal, especially since pretty much everyone — including casual players — were already sold when the developers shared the announcement trailer for the game.
The fact that fans, as well as general audiences, are already sold on
DOOM Eternal is a great thing — even more now, as the first TV spot for the game has just dropped, and it doesn't seem to know what the game's core audience is; with a song that has made fans dislike the TV spot altogether.
Now, the TV spot itself shows off everything that fans of the
DOOM series are expecting from a game in which they're slaying demons left and right, but it is a rather odd choice to use such an unsuitable song when you have Mick Gordon composing
DOOM Eternal's soundtrack.
Take a look:
DOOM Eternal puts you in control of the DOOM Slayer as you blow apart new and classic demons with powerful weapons in unbelievable and never-before-seen worlds. Experience the ultimate combination of speed and power as you rip and tear your way across dimensions with the next leap in push-forward, first-person combat.
DOOM Eternal will be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on the 22nd of March.
