A new auto-update patch for Halo 3 will be introduced this week, fixing a number of issues related to melee attacks during online play sessions.

The new fix will address certain advantages that server hosts sometimes have during melee games, especially when playing across the Atlantic. The host tends to win the contest when two players appear to attack simultaneously.

Bungie themselves admit that "there are issues with several granular melee features - simultaneous strikes, shield depletion and so on."

The fix is due out this week.
