Just a couple of days ago, 2K Games released a bunch of collections that included some of their critically acclaimed titles from the BioShock, Borderlands, and XCOM series; all of them available either individually or in convenient bundles for players to purchase according to their tastes.
Borderlands Legendary Collection is including Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, but Nintendo Switch owners have noticed that the Legendary Collection is only including Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.
If this sounds a tad confusing is because 2K Games announced Borderlands Legendary Collection($49.99 USD) and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection($39.99USD), and the contents of the Legendary Collection include The Handsome Collection plus Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection only includes Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and this is where things probably got a bit messy for the people over at Nintendo — who didin't include Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition in the Legendary Collection bundle.
2K Games was quick to address this issue and reassure players that purchasing Borderlands Legendary Collection will still give them Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition; regardless if the GOTY edition doesn't appear to be listed on the Nintendo eShop.
One user accused 2K Games of scamming players with the bundle, but this is definitely not the case — especially since it is Nintendo the one that didn't list the Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition on the description. Again, players should rest assured that purchasing Borderlands Legendary Collection will, indeed, give them access to all three of the games.
