Learn How To Upgrade Your Home Base In FAR CRY: NEW DAWN As The Shooter Launches Today
In Ubisoft Montreal's Far Cry: New Dawn, you will need to build up your home base, named Prosperity, to survive the post-apocalyptic world of the gaudy shooter, that is available today for PS4, XO, and PC...
Far Cry: New Dawn, Far Cry 5's narrative sequel, launches today for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, priced at $39,99. New Dawn is set 17 years after the epilogue of the last year's entry's "bad" ending: a global nuclear catastrophe. Between 2018 and 2035, Hope County has changed in many unexpected ways, as this fallen post-apocalyptic world is now teeming with life, vibrant colors... and new bandits.
According to the first wave of reviews, New Dawn is an enjoyable, even if somehow repetitive, offering. Currently sitting at a rather encouraging 73% critics score on Metacritic with 48 published reviews for the PlayStation 4 version, it's getting similar scores to the series’ other spin-off, Far Cry: Primal (76%).
Ubisoft's shooter hits stores today alongside 4A Games' Metro: Exodus, Xbox Game Studios' Crackdown 3, and Bandai Namco's Jump Force, so it will be interesting to see which game will get more praise from players when it's all said and done. Considering that next-gen machines will supposedly release in mid-2020, there's a rather big chance that New Dawn will be the last Far Cry game available for PS4 and XO.
Be sure to take a closer look at one of Far Cry: New Dawn's core gameplay mechanics, upgrading your own home base, dubbed Prosperity, in the gaudy video game's latest gameplay trailer down below:
Dive into a transformed vibrant post-apocalyptic Hope County, Montana, 17 years after a global nuclear catastrophe. Join fellow survivors and lead the fight against the dangerous new threat the Highwaymen, and their ruthless leaders The Twins, as they seek to take over the last remaining resources.
