Rumors are surfacing that Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIV may be coming to the Nintendo Switch.
According to The Sixth Axis and Nova Crystallis consideration has been made to bring the smash hit MMORPG to the Nintendo Switch. The rumors began to surface after it was mentioned at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in Frankfurt, Germany. This news came on the heels that the game could also be coming to the Xbox One and Square Enix has stated that they want to do so.
There is downside of the game coming to the Nintendo Switch, however, the digital download size will most definitely be larger than then the
storage capacity of the Nintendo Switch. In addition to the cost of the game, it would also require gamers to buy a large SD card.
The goal of Square Enix is to get the game on as many platforms as possible, but cross platform play is the biggest road block for the game so far. The next expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, titled Stormblood, is set to launch in June.
