Square Enix's long-awaited, a critically acclaimed
Kingdom Hearts III surely has made an impact amongst players and even the developers themselves; with a very respectable 83/100 on review aggregator site Metacritic.
Upon releasing,
Kingdom Hearts III managed to sell a very impressive
5 million units in just a few days after the game's launch, and was even topping the
Top 20 list of best-selling titles of January alongside Capcom's acclaimed
Resident Evil 2 remake.
A recent report from NPD Group analyst Mat Piscatella has revealed that Square Enix's
Kingdom Hearts III has become the best-selling title in the history of the whole
Kingdom Hearts series, as well as the second best-selling game of 2019's first half.
This was to be expected, as
Kingdom Hearts III was reported to be the best-selling game of the year back in April, so it was only natural for Square Enix's title to remain as one of the best-selling titles of the year; something that is unlikely to change, although it will be definitely interesting to see how the game keeps selling throughout what's left of the year.
KINGDOM HEARTS III tells the story of the power of friendship as Sora and his friends embark on a perilous adventure. Set in a vast array of Disney and Pixar worlds, KINGDOM HEARTS follows the journey of Sora, a young boy and unknowing heir to a spectacular power.
Kingdom Hearts III is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
