Netmarble has released a brand-new developer update video for their upcoming action-adventure RPG, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, giving fans a first look at Chapter 3 content that will be available at launch. The new chapter will introduce the Stormlands, a pivotal region ruled by Stannis Baratheon, and expand upon the narrative currently available in Early Access.

The developers emphasized that Chapter 3 is just the beginning of their content rollout, teasing even more updates post-launch. They also addressed player feedback gathered during the game’s Early Access phase. Major concerns, including matchmaking, role-playing features (RP), and language support, are being refined to deliver a smoother, more accessible experience at launch.

New Region: The Stormlands

Chapter 3 will take players deep into the Stormlands—one of the most storied regions in Westeros, known for its fierce storms and equally fierce lords. Stannis Baratheon, a name well-known to fans of the series, will play a prominent role in this expansion, further connecting the game’s original story to the established Game of Thrones canon.

A New Tale in the North

Set during Season 4 of HBO’s Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series Game of Thrones, Kingsroad casts players in a completely new narrative. Players step into the boots of a fresh-faced heir to House Tyre, a small noble house in the North, who finds themselves thrust into political and military turmoil.

Players can choose from one of three core classes:

  • Sellsword – a balanced warrior-for-hire

  • Knight – a defensive powerhouse

  • Assassin – a swift and deadly shadow operative

Combined with a robust character creator, the game gives fans freedom to explore Westeros in their own way.

Multiplatform Launch Incoming

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is expected to launch later this year across iOS, Android, and PC via Windows Launcher. While a global release date hasn’t been locked in just yet, Netmarble has promised more information is on the way soon. The game is currently in Early Access and players can hop in and try it out now.

Set in the richly detailed world of Game of Thrones, the game promises a faithful recreation of key locations like Winterfell, Castle Black, and King’s Landing. Players will take part in large-scale battles and co-op adventures, carving out their own legacy in George R.R. Martin’s world. Netmarble has worked closely with HBO and Warner Bros. to bring the continent of Westeros to life like never before.

With its deep RPG elements, class-based combat, and original story tied directly to the Game of Thrones timeline, Kingsroad is shaping up to be a promising new addition to the world of Westeros.
