One of the premises of the Animal Crossing series is to be able to visit other players' towns, as well as having other players visit yours, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons was never going to be the exception. In fact, thanks to online connectivity players can visit other user's islands in real time and interact with them.
Recently, Twitter user jessa(@directedbyrian) asked other Twitter users to send her a message with their Dodo Code in order to visit her island from Animal Crossing: New Horizons — as she was selling turnips for only 599 Bells; quite the offer, right?
As it turns out, Hollywood actor Elijah Wood sent her a private message asking for the Dodo Code, and he eventually visited jessa's island. What's even more interesting is that he was the nicest guy, and even asked — quite politely, might I add — if he could pick some fruit; you know, instead of just taking it.
Here's where things get even more interesting, since Elijah Wood said "long live Rian Johnson" before leaving. Jessa's Twitter account is devoted to Adam Driver(particularly Star Wars' Kylo Ren) and Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi Director Rian Johnson. Someone took a screenshot of that particular moment, and said screenshot is now Rian Johnson's header on his official Twitter account.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been quite the hit since it released last month, and things like this simply make the game even more special than it already is. Who knows? Maybe next time it is your island that will be visited by a Hollywood celebrity, and it will be just as awesome.
