Cadence of Hyrule - Crypt of the Necrodancer was released in June of last year, and it is a crossover title that brings together Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series and Brace Yourself Games' Crypt of the Necrodancer rhythm/action-adventure title — which is almost like a match made in heaven, considering how great both series work together.

In December of last year, Brace Yourself Games announced that free content, in the form of a new story line that focused on the villainous Octavo, was being added to the game; other than that, however, not much in regards to additional content for the game has been announced.

During today's Nintendo Direct Mini presentation, Brace Yourself Games took the opportunity to reveal their plans for Cadence of Hyrule - Crypt of the Necrodancer, and there are a bunch of things that will likely make fans of the critically praised rhythm/action-adventure title quite excited.

First things first, Brace Yourself Games and Nintendo have announced three DLC Packs for Cadence of Hyrule - Crypt of the Necrodancer. The first DLC Pack is actually becoming available today, and will be adding adds Impa, Aria, Shadow Link, Shadow Zelda, and Frederick as playable characters.

DLC Pack 2 is a Melody Pack, which will be adding 39 brand-new songs and remixes, while DLC Pack 3 will be adding a new story line that introduces The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask's Skull Kid. Unfortunately, the developers will be revealing when DLC Packs 2 and 3 will be releasing at a later date.

The good news don't stop there, as Brace Yourself Games and Nintendo have also announced that Cadence of Hyrule - Crypt of the Nectrodancer will get a physical release, which is expected to launch on Friday the 23rd of October, and will be including all three of the announced DLC Packs.

As Link — or even as Princess Zelda — you’ll explore the randomly generated overworld and dungeons on a quest to save Hyrule. Every beat of each remixed, The Legend of Zelda tune is a chance to move, attack, defend, and more, so stay one step ahead of each enemy and boss…or face the music.

Cadence of Hyrule - Crypt of the Necrodancer is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
