In March of last year, Nintendo made a very surprising announcement, revealing that they would be teaming up with independent developer Brace Yourself Games in order to work on a Crypt of the NecroDancer and The Legend of Zelda crossover title, and the result was Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer.
Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer was finally released in June of 2019, and it has been getting support from the developers ever since. Just last month, as a matter of fact, Nintendo revealed that the game would be getting a physical release and some new content.
As revealed by Nintendo, the physical release for Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer will become available on Friday the 23rd of October. The announcement also revealed that a character pack was being released as part of the Season Pass, and that DLC Packs 2 and 2 would release at a later date.
Just yesterday, and completely unannounced, Nintendo revealed that DLC Pack 2, which is a melody pack featuring a total of brand-new 39 tunes from The Legend of Zelda series, has just become available for players to bop their heads to. Still no news on DLC Pack 3, so we will have to keep waiting until Nintendo drops it unannounced; as, of course, is tradition.
It is worth mentioning that players can get the Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Season Pass in order to have access to all three DLC Packs— as they become available, of course — but each DLC Pack can also be purchased individually, although the Season Pass is definitely more convenient at $14.99 USD.
As Link — or even as Princess Zelda — you’ll explore the randomly generated overworld and dungeons on a quest to save Hyrule. Every beat of each remixed, The Legend of Zelda tune is a chance to move, attack, defend, and more, so stay one step ahead of each enemy and boss…or face the music.
Cadence of Hyrule - Crypt of the NecroDancer is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
