Tetris 99 was announced back in February of this year as an exclusive Nintendo Switch title that mixed the classic tile-matching puzzle game with online multiplayer; making it the very first
Tetris battle royale.
Just a couple of months ago, Nintendo announced that
Tetris 99 would be getting a physical release; one that would include all of the previously released downloadable content plus a Nintendo Switch Online subscription for a whole year; this being important, considering that the game is almost exclusively an online experience.
Today, The Tetris Company has reminded fans of the popular tile-matching series that the retail version of
Tetris 99 for the Nintendo Switch has just become available.
While the game may be a free download for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers,
Tetris 99 is retailing for $30 and a NSO subscription for one year is $34.99 and the Big Block DLC for the game is $16.99; most definitely a good deal for both
Tetris and Nintendo fans.
In large-scale, 99-player battles, it’ll take speed, skill, and strategy to knock out the competition and become the last player standing. You can target opponents by sending them Garbage Blocks, but be careful… Your rivals can target you back!
Tetris 99 is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
