One of the most pleasants surprises that Nintendo revealed this year was that Koei Tecmo's Team Ninja was working on Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which is a new hack and slash game that is set 100 years before the events that take place in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Because Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a prequel to the critically acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, it is officially in the series' canon. Not only that, but the upcoming title will also dig deeper into the lore, by properly fleshing out the four Champions, and other side characters.
What's even more appealing is the fact that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild already gave players enough information about the past, and all of the trailers the developers have released for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity have given players a look at some of those things that were mentioned in the previous title.
Today, for instance, Nintendo has released a new trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which gives us our first look at the Sheikah researches Robbie and Purah; the same researchers who in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild upgrade your Sheikah Slate and help you build Ancient Gear.
Interestingly enough, in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild we actually see a young version of Purah, who grew younger due to an anti-aging Rune, and this new trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity has given us our first look at her as an adult; her personality has remained intact, too.
