Nintendo has had its fair share of weird ideas when coming up for either video games or peripherals, and Ring Fit Adventure is a testament to that; in a good way, of course. The new adventure title, coming out exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, is what players are already considering a true spiritual successor to Wii Fit.

Ring Fit Adventure will be sold with the Ring-Con wheel and legstrap accessories, where players attach their Joy-Con controllers and use their body to control their character in the game; making for some interesting gameplay mechanics that will have players seamlessly exercising while they play.

As we are only about a week and a half away from the release of Ring Fit Adventure, Nintendo has shared a new gameplay trailer for the game — which gives us even more gameplay footage that shows off how versatile the mini games can be.

Explore a fantastical adventure world to defeat a bodybuilding dragon and his minions using real-life exercises! Traverse grass-swept plains by jogging in place, attack enemies with overhead shoulder presses, and refill your health meter by striking some yoga poses.

Ring Fit Adventure will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 18th of October.
