Nintendo has decided to start the year by announcing a brand-new Direct presentation — which will be focused completely on Pokémon-related content, and will be streamed this Thursday the 9th of January at 6:30 AM Pacific Time / 9:30 AM Eastern Time.

As revealed by Nintendo, this presentation will be roughly 20 minutes long, and will be giving players some new information regarding the Pokémon franchise, although it is likely that the focus will only be on Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield

What's rather odd, however, is the fact that this is obviously not going to be an announcement for a new game; considering that Pokémon Sword&Shield released just a couple of months ago.

Could it be that Nintendo and GameFreak have listened to fans and will be adding the entire Pokédex to Pokémon Sword&Shield? While this is possible, this is most likely to give details about the new paid Pokémon Home app. We'll just have to wait and see.
