Just a few hours ago, Nintendo released an intriguing new trailer that is introducing us to what they themselves call "a new experience for Nintendo Switch" — which seems to be a brand-new peripheral for a yet-to-be-announced sports title.

As per the trailer, the peripheral itself looks like a flexible plastic wheel where users attach a Joy-Con, as well as some sort of Joy-Con "holster" that players strap to their left leg. What's interesting is that the left Joy-con is always seen strapped to the players' legs, while the right Joy-Con is the one that's always attached to this plastic wheel.

Other than the intriguing announcement trailer, Nintendo didn't offer any more details but has revealed that we will be getting more information about this "new experience" on the 12th of September; where they'll probably announce some sort of spiritual successor to the popular Wii Sports series.

Considering that Nintendo has even mnaged to implement virtual reality to some games, it is likely that this new peripheral could also be given more uses that the ones originally intended. We'll just have to wait until they reveal more details about it next week.
