We have some great news for those players who may have recently purchased an original version of the Nintendo Switch, as new information has revealed that Nintendo are willing to replace your console with the revised version; there is a caveat, however.

The information comes from Reddit user DarthMewtwo, who called Nintendo customer service to ask about the possibility to have his launch day Nintendo Switch replaced with the revised version. According to the user, Nintendo will only be exchanging the console for the revised edition if this was purchased after the 17th of July.

Thanks to the people over at GameXplain, we have confirmation that this is, indeed, the case, and users are only eligible to have their Nintendo Switch switched(I kind of regret this pun) for the new one if it was purchased after the aforementioned date.

Another thing that is worth mentioning is the fact that this has only been confirmed for Nintendo of America, so users from other regions may want to confirm with their local Nintendo customer service if the possibility of a replcement is even viable.
