Within recent weeks,
leaks and rumours have sprung which claim that Nintendo are going to be releasing new versions of the Nintendo Swith relatively soon. These leaks mostly come about through alternative gaming websites revealing their upcoming accessories - those accessories being for unnannounced versions of the Switch.
These leaks emerged at such a frequency the Nintendo themselves recently addressed them, stating that
"Answering to rumours and speculations would end up stealing surprises from our customers and also be unprofitable to all of our shareholders, so we have no answer to that. As a general theory, we are always performing development of new hardware." Take notice that they didn't outright refute the rumours
Just because Nintendo have referred directly to these leaks and rumour doesn't mean that they're going to stop sprouting. A new set of images have been published by a site named
WinFuture which feature a silicone case for the
"Mini Switch 2" by BigBen. It appears to be for a handheld-only version of the Nintendo Switch that's roughly the size of the regular Switch, only without the Joy-Cons attached.
It's thought that Nintendo are producing at least two new versions of their popular console: one aimed at avid gamers and another that's essentially a smaller version. Those would therefore be the Nintendo Switch 2 and the Mini Switch 2 respectively. Though that's just speculation based on the many leaked images. Speaking of; you can check out the new ones below:
