Ring Fit Adventure was one of Nintendo's most innovative video games in recent years — alongside Nintendo LABO, and the Nintendo Switch itself, of course — providing players with a fun alternative to conventional excercising that allowed them to work up a sweat while playing an adventure game.
Becoming available in October of last year, Ring Fit Adventure became an instant hit within a mere month after it was released; to the point Japanese players were having a hard time finding a copy of the game, and Nintendo had to address the issue by announcing that they would be increasing the number of shipments.
In April of last year, in fact, it was also revealed that demand for Ring Fit Adventure copies was at an all-time high, and this was mostly due to the ongoing Coronavirus(COVID-19) pandemic we're still currently going through — which prompted players to exercise at home during the lockdown period.
Recent information has revealed that this demand for Ring Fit Adventure copies has not decreased; quite the opposite, actually. Wht's more, over 40,000 copies of the game were sold in Japan last week, and this means that sales increased by a staggering 236%.
These numbers are only counting sales in Japan, but it will definitely be interesting to see if demand for Ring Fit Adventure has also increased around the world these past few weeks, and how will the game sell in the coming weeks; considering that the pandemic is still not close to being over.
