There is a new rumour that's been going around the internet lately, which seems to suggest that a brand-new model of the Nintendo Switch will be released at some point this year; according to sources posted on the Taiwanese site
DigiTimes.
As per the rumour, this new Nintendo Switch model will enter mass production in the first quarter of this year, and will likely be launching at some point between Q2 and Q3 — which is the perfect time for this new console to go up against Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5; if the rumour is to be believed, of course.
Back in March of last year, it was also rumoured that Nintendo was working on both a
budget and a Pro version of the Nintendo Switch; both of which were supposed to release in 2019. As we all know by now, only the budget version saw the light of day in the form of the Nintendo Switch Lite.
Now that the Nintendo Switch Lite is out, and the fact that Sony and Microsoft are releasing their next gen consoles this Holidays, it is only logical for Nintendo to launch a revised version, and more capable version of their popular handheld hybrid console. We'll juts have to wait and see if Nintendo officially announces a more powerful console this year.
