Nintendo has finally listened to fans and released a new update for the critically acclaimed
Super Mario Maker 2, by giving them the long-requested support for online co-op and versus multiplayer; something fans had been clamouring for since the game launched.
According to Nintendo themselves, the Version 1.1.0 update for
Super Mario Maker 2 now allows players to play levels with friends from their Friend List; giving them the chance to choose courses from their locally saved list in Coursebot and play them online.
What's perhaps even more interesting is the fact that Nintendo has added a list of Official Makers ifor players to easily find in the Leaderboards section — including courses created for collaborations or special events.
As if that wasn't enough,
Super Mario Maker 2's new update also allows players to use both touch-screen and button controls when playing the game in handheld mode; likely to make the game even more compatible with the recently released Nintendo Switch Lite.
