Ahead of this year's E3, Nintendo revealed that Rare's iconic duo Banjo and Kazooie — from the critically acclaimed
Banjo-Kazooie series — were finally going to be joining the ambitious
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, although they didn't really give us an official release date for the characters.
Just a few days ago, there was some information going around online that suggested that we would be seeing these characters joining
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate rather sooner than later, as a retail store in Japan had already began advertising both the characters and the game.
Today we have some great news for fans of both the
Super Smash Bros. and
Banjo-Kazooie series, as Nintendo just confirmed — during their Nintendo Direct presentation — that Banjo and Kazooie will be joining the game's roster
today; fulfilling a dream that many fans of both series have had for the longest time.
Legendary game worlds and fighters collide in the ultimate showdown—a new entry in the Super Smash Bros. series for the Nintendo Switch system! New fighters, like Inkling from the Splatoon series and Ridley from the Metroid series, make their Super Smash Bros. series debut alongside every Super Smash Bros. fighter in the series…EVER!
