It appears that Banjo and Kazooie will be joining the
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster very soon, as new advertisements beging promoting both the game and the new characters in Japanese stores.
What's interesting is that Nintendo has already done this with the
Dragon Quest heroes, which they began promoting within the same week the characters became available in
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Banjo and Kazooie were one of the surprise announcements that no one saw coming, although fans of Rare's 3D platformer series had been clamouring for these characters to show up in
Super Smash Bros. pretty much since the second title was released in the early 2000s.
Considering that ads for Banjo and Kazooie are already showing up in Japanese stores, and if we go by what Nintendo has done in the past, the iconic duo could well be releasing in the coming days — which is definitely some exciting news for fans of both
Super Smash Bros. and
Banjo-Kazooie.
Legendary game worlds and fighters collide in the ultimate showdown—a new entry in the Super Smash Bros. series for the Nintendo Switch system! New fighters, like Inkling from the Splatoon series and Ridley from the Metroid series, make their Super Smash Bros. series debut alongside every Super Smash Bros. fighter in the series…EVER!
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
