The release date for the 4.0.0 update for
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate seems to have been leaked by Nintendo. The information comes from the official Nintendo Netherlands Twitter account, which shared that the update will go live on the
31st of July at GMT +2.
Nintendo Netherlands has already deleted the tweet, which further confirms that the 4.0.0 update will, indeed, be going live this Wednesday. Thanks to Twitter user
@PushDustIn we have screenshots of the deleted tweet, as well as a tweet on Nintendo Europe's account — which also confirms the release date.
What's even more interesting is the fact that the both tweets reveal that replays will be no longer compatible with the new update, and this usually happens because they're making changes to the characters or adding new ones; this coupled with the fact that the tweet on Nintendo Netherlands hints at the
Dragon Quest heroes, so there's a pretty good chance these characters will also become available on Wednesday.
