A bunch of heroes from the
Dragon Quest series were revealed to be joining the ambitious Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, alongside Banjo and Kazooie from Rare's acclaimed
Banjo-Kazooie series.
Both of these announcements made fans of the
Super Smash Bros. series ecstatic, as
Dragon Quest and
Banjo-Kazooie characters had been requested for a very long time, and fans were finally getting their wish. Nintendo, however, did not provide an official release date for neither of them.
A recent report seems to suggest that the heroes from
Dragon Quest may be joining the
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster as soon as the
4th of August, as Twitter user, and
Super Smash Bros. series' expert
@PushDustIn recently tweeted a pic of an advertisement found in a Japanese 7/11 store.
The alleged release date coincides with the day that
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate finals will be taking place at EVO 2019; making it the perfect occasion for Nintendo to release these characters for players to enjoy.
This news should be taken with a pinch of salt, however, but worst case scenario is that both the Dragon Quest heroes and Banjo & Kazooie will become available at some point this Summer. Either way, it is already good enough to know they'll join the roster at some point any way.
