The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening for the Nintendo Switch was released just a couple of weeks ago and, within a couple of days after it launched the game had already managed to become the
fastest-selling Nintendo Switch title of the year in the United Kingdom.
Nintendo has also revealed that
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is now Europe's fastest-selling Nintendo Switch title of 2019 — which is definitely quite the achievement cosidering that it has managed to surpass other heavy hitters like
Super Mario Maker 2.
While Nintendo hasn't revealed exactly how many copies of
Link's Awakening have been sold, the fact that the game is doing as well as it is in Europe is a testament to Nintendo's commitment to
The Legend of Zelda series — especially since this is actually a remake of the Game Boy version of
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.
It will be interesting to see if
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening manages to hold this record for the rest of the year; considering that
Pokémon Sword and
Pokémon Shield are only a bit over a month away from releasing; the biggest heavy hitter of the year for many.
