A few days ago, we reported that PlatinumGames had shared a rather interesting picture; one that was seemingly
teasing something related to The Wonderful 101. While this was only but a rumour, it did get fans of the Wii U title excited for either a remaster of the original game, or a fully fledged sequel.
Today, PlatinumGames has some great news for Nintendo Switch owners, as they have officially confirmed that the rumours were true — by announcing a Kickstarter campaign for
The Wonderful 101: Remastered, while also asking fans to support this iniciative.
The good news don't end there, as PlatinumGames also reveals that other platforms are being considered via Kickstarter stretch goals, so a PlayStation 4, Xbox one, and PC versions of
The Wonderful 101: Remastered are also a very viable possibility.
PlatinumGames' pledge goal is of $50,010, and as of this writing the Kickstarter campaign currently has over 7 thousand backers, and
The Wonderful 101: Remastered has already been funded with over a staggering $520,000 — so it is safe to say that the game will be releasing for pretty much every platform being considered by the developer.
According to their official
Kickstarter website for The Wonderful 101: Remastered, both physical and digital copies of the game would be releasing at some point this April, while a special Backer's Edition is scheduled to be delivered in November of this year.
