When Nintendo and MonolithSoft announced Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, fans were immediately able to tell everything that the developers had done with the game from a technical standpoint. This definitive edition of the Wii title looks fantastic now, but the developers had a few surprises in store.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition isn't just a prettier version than the original Wii game, since the developers have revealed that the game is also featuring an all-new epilogue episode called "Future Connected", and the music has also been slightly remastered.

Nintendo also revealed that thithe "Future Connected" epilogue will actually be available at the beginning of the game, so players who have already played the game and don't feel like playing it again, can jump right into the epilogue and continue the game's story.

In a recent interview with Famitsu magazine, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Director Tetsuya Takashi has revealed that "Future Connected" alone will take around 10 to 12 hours to complete, and up to an impressive 20 hours if side content is included.

This is definitely some great news, considering that the main campaign in the original Xenoblade Chronicles can take over 60 hours to complete. MonolithSoft has really given players more reasons to get excited over the definitive edition, and fans will definitely appreciate the effort once they finally get to play Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition next Friday the 29th of May.

MONOLITHSOFT’s epic Xenoblade Chronicles game, which originally launched in 2012 on the Wii system, is destined to be reborn on Nintendo Switch as Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. The game, which chronicles the adventures of Shulk and Fiora, is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch in 2020.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on the 29th of May.
