During today's Nintendo Direct, Monolith Soft took the opportunity to reveal that they will be re-releasing their critically acclaimed Xenoblade Chronicles on the Nintendo Switch at a yet-to-be-determined date in 2020.

The original Xenoblade Chronicles released for the Nintendo Wii all the way back in 2012, and was very well-received by critics and players alike; with a very solid 92/100 on review aggregator site Metacritic. The game was later re-released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2015.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is definitely polishing the original game's graphics but, other than the visual  enhancements, the developer didn't really tell us exactly what is it that they will be addign to offer the true definitive Xenoblade Chronicles experience.
